Can we download the app yet?
Not quite. This is a preview of an app in development. We’re testing the reading experience and finishing the books before release.
Does the website listen to us?
No. The little book above is a tap-to-play demonstration. It never requests your microphone. In the iPhone app, speech recognition happens on your device.
Can both parents use one purchase?
Yes. Buy the Bemmi Collection once and share it with up to six people in your Apple Family Sharing group. Turn on Purchase Sharing in your family’s Apple settings. Each parent can read on their own iPhone using their own Apple Account. Reading progress and story-night memories stay on each device; they do not sync between parents. Family Sharing help.
Who makes the books?
Many books come from Book Dash’s human authors and illustrators, shared under Creative Commons licences. Bemmi adds short cue sentences and animations. Pip is an AI-assisted original. Each book identifies its creators and adaptations. Read the credits.
How much will it cost?
Lara the Yellow Ladybird, Bathtub Safari and Pip and the Lanterns are three complete free books, with unlimited rereading. The Bemmi Collection will be US$19.99 as a one-time purchase for the 29 additional books shown in the app. No subscription and no recurring charge. Purchases will be available at launch.
Will future books cost extra?
Your purchased collection stays yours to reread. We may offer new collections as separate, optional purchases. You won’t need to buy them to keep reading the books you already have.
What ages is it for?
We’re choosing the main library for children aged three to six, reading together with an adult. Some nights call for one short book; others call for another.
